The Wounded Healer Story You’re Ready to Release
Are you ready to release the wounded healer story that has held you back? To step into your power as someone who hasn’t just witnessed suffering, but has transmuted it into wisdom, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to your own healing?
If you’ve done the work. If you’ve faced your pain, sat with your trauma, and started walking the healer’s path yourself, and you still find old triggers knocking you sideways or stress wearing you down until it feels like none of the healing stuck, I want you to know something. That is a natural occurrence. It doesn’t mean you failed at healing. It means there’s a part of the process most of us were never taught.
The Wounded Healer Isn’t a Flaw. She’s Half the Story.
I see this pattern all the time. Someone has been through something real, and they come out the other side wanting to help others heal too. But the old wound is still in there, and it gets activated. The emotional loops, the mental patterns, the ways of being become so set that they seem to happen without any conscious choice at all.
What I’ve noticed is that this isn’t a sign something is wrong with you. It’s a sign there’s an unfinished relationship inside you. Not a relationship with someone else. A relationship with yourself.
The Six Archetypes Living Inside You
Here’s what I teach instead. Inside each of us, no matter our gender, there are three core aspects: the inner child, the inner feminine, and the inner masculine. And each of these shows up in two forms. There’s the wounded version and there’s the wise version.
- The Wounded Child and the Wise Child
- The Wounded Feminine and the Wise Feminine
- The Wounded Masculine and the Wise Masculine
The wounded ones carry the patterns. They’re the ones seeking attention, playing out old dynamics, getting tangled in what I call the trauma triangle. The wise ones are already radiant, calm, centered. They’re not somewhere far away you have to travel to become. They’re already inside you, right alongside the wounded parts.
When I work with women around this, what changes everything is realizing you don’t have to fix the wounded parts or push them away. You get to watch how they interact. The wounded child seeking something from the wounded masculine. The wounded feminine responding in an old, familiar way. And once you can see it, you can start to shift it.
Pain as a Portal, Not a Problem to Bypass
This is where I think we get confused. We treat pain like something to get past as fast as possible. But what I teach is that pain, physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual, is a portal of transformation. The deep experiences of initiation we go through are what support the embodied awakening of our wiser aspects.
The wisdom of the wounded one comes from finding the gems that have been learned, incorporated, and embodied through our greatest challenges. Those become our superpowers. Not despite the wound, but because we were willing to stay in relationship with it.
What Happens When the Wise Ones Tend to the Wounded Ones
When the wise child tends to the wounded child. When the wise feminine cares for the wounded feminine. When the wise masculine engages with the wounded masculine, something shifts. The disposition changes. The heaviness lifts. There’s a sparkle that returns.
And this isn’t only about the present moment. This kind of healing moves backward through your timeline too. It touches the situations that felt challenging, the moments that dimmed your light, and it changes how you feel about them now. Not by rewriting what happened, but by bringing a different relationship to it.
Wounded and Wise, Both at Once
I want you to sit with this phrase: we are wounded and wise. Not wounded, then wise, like it’s a finish line. Both, at the same time, always in relationship with each other.
When these six archetypes come into wholeness, when the innocence of the child, the intuitive essence of the feminine, and the active power of the masculine work together, that’s when we create what we desire with real ease. Without losing our purpose. Without straying from love.
Not to get rid of the wounded healer story, but to stop letting it run unconsciously, and instead bring your wisdom into relationship with it, on purpose, again and again.
